Welkom bij mini expo Pulp Non Fiction!

Tot en met 8 januari 2017 staat er een grote glazen vitrine naast de Servaasbrug in Wyck. Met deze speelse mini expo willen we een kijkje bieden in onze collecties die goed opgeborgen zijn in depots. We kunnen veel verhalen vertellen over het verleden van Maastricht aan de hand van dit erfgoed.
Maar we zijn ook benieuwd naar jouw inbreng! Stel je een lege ruimte voor die jij als gastconservator mag inrichten. Welke collectie of objecten zou je gebruiken, hoe zou je het weergeven en welke verhalen vertel je erbij?

Alles mag, zolang er gebruik wordt gemaakt van de bestaande collecties. Een kortere inbreng, suggestie of idee mag natuurlijk ook. Kijk bij collecties voor meer informatie over ons cultureel erfgoed.

Hieronder staan de vier thema's van mini expo Pulp non Fiction. Klik op de titels en gebruik ze als inspiratie of gewoon om je te verdiepen in de bijzondere collecties en het verleden van Maastricht.

		Het monster van Maastricht De grote mosasaurussen zwommen ooit in een Maastrichtse zee.				De gouden eeuwen Een lichtpunt tijdens de duistere Middeleeuwen: in de 6de en 7de eeuw kende de stad een bloeiperiode, zichtbaar in de prachtige objecten uit deze tijd.
		Made in Maastricht De eerste geïndustrialiseerde stad van Nederland kende een grote export. Objecten uit Maastricht gingen de wereld over, tot in Japan!				De (r)evolutionaire stad Maastricht is de enige stad genoemd in het Nederlandse volkslied. De musketier D'Artagnan stierf zelfs voor haar muren. Een uniek verleden, een bijzondere toekomst!

Welcome to Pulp non Fiction!

With this playful mini expo we wanted to offer a peek into our collections which are well kept in depots. Many stories of the past of our beautiful city can be told through this cultural heritage. You can visit our mini expo next to the Servaasbridge in the eastern part of the city.

But we are still interested in your input! Imagine an empty museum room and it is all yours to decorate. Which collection or objects would you use, how would you display them and which stories would you tell?

You can of course also email a shorter input, idea or suggestion. Anything goes, as long as our collections are used. You can browse our collections on this website.

Below you will find the four themes that are presented in the mini expo Pulp non Fiction. Use them for your inspiration or just to delve into the special collections and history of Maastricht. You will find background information, related books or walking and bicycle tours on the subject.

Please send your ideas to klantenservice@maastricht.nl and we will select one winner who gets a free Museum Card! This card will give you free access to almost every museum in The Netherlands for a year.
