Collecties en presentaties - Collections and presentations
In Centre Céramique worden diverse gemeentelijke collecties beheerd zoals bijvoorbeeld de aardewerkcollecties van de Sphinx, de Socíeté Ceramique en de Mosa, de Limburgse en Maastrichtse archeologiecollecties en de glascollectie.
Slechts een fractie van onze collecties is te zien in tijdelijke tentoonstellingen (ga hiervoor naar ‘tentoonstellingen'). Collectiestukken kunnen ook bekeken worden via bruiklenen in tentoonstellingen elders of via de digitale erfgoedcatalogi van Centre Céramique of Provincie Limburg.
Various municipal collections are maintained at Centre Céramique, such as the ceramics collections from Sphinx, the Société Ceramique and Mosa, as well as the Limburg and Maastricht archaeological collections and the glass collection.
Only a fraction of our collections is on display in temporary exhibitions. Pieces from the collections can also be viewed on loan in exhibitions elsewhere and through the digital heritage catalogues of Centre Céramique and the Province of Limburg.

Gemeentelijk Depot voor Bodemvondsten Maastricht - Municipal depot
In het souterrain van Centre Céramique bevindt zich het Gemeentelijk Depot voor Bodemvondsten Maastricht (GDBM). Hier bewaart de Gemeente Maastricht het vondstmateriaal dat bij archeologisch onderzoek in Maastricht gevonden wordt. Ook de bijbehorende documentatie ligt er opgeslagen. De depotbeheerder en de medewerkers behoud en beheer zorgen ervoor dat alles gemakkelijk terug te vinden is en de conditie van het materiaal stabiel blijft.
The lower level of Centre Céramique houses the Municipal Depot for artefacts excavated in Maastricht (the GDBM: Gemeentelijk Depot voor Bodemvondsten Maastricht). This is where the City of Maastricht maintains artefacts excavated during archaeological research in Maastricht. The accompanying documentation is stored here as well. The depot manager and the conservation employees ensure that everything can be easily located and the condition of the material remains stable.

Ontmoet Joes Minis
Joes is conservator Limburgse en Bijzondere Collectie van Centre Céramique. Hij is gevraagd door Visit Maastricht om voor Hat Time Stories zijn visie te vertellen over wat Maastricht zo bijzonder maakt.
Over de bijzondere historie waarin je ontdekt hoe Limburg is ontstaan. De reden waarom we juist zo anders zijn dan andere steden in Nederland. De reden waarom Maastrichtenaren niet typisch Nederlands zijn, maar heel eigen.
Zicht op Maastricht:
cultureel erfgoed bij de hand
Maastricht is een van de oudste steden van Nederland met een rijke en gevarieerde culturele geschiedenis. Er zijn talloze oude gebouwen, archeologische objecten en historisch waardevolle plekken. Vanuit de Romeinse tijd, de Middeleeuwen, de tijd van de belegeringen en de opkomst van de industrie. Om dit cultureel erfgoed breder onder de aandacht te brengen is er nu de mobiele website van Zicht op Maastricht: dé culturele biografie van de stad Maastricht.
Als je de stad Maastricht als een groot museum ziet, is de website van Zicht op Maastricht jouw persoonlijke reisgids. Op je laptop kun je voordat je op pad gaat alle informatie rustig bekijken. Of je gaat, met je mobiele telefoon in de hand, op pad langs allerlei bijzondere locaties. Via thema’s en uitgestippelde wandelroutes ontdek je historische wetenswaardigheden en interessante erfgoedplekken.
De uitvoering en het beheer van Zicht op Maastricht is in handen van het cultureel erfgoedteam van Centre Céramique. Maar het gaat hier vooral om een samenwerking tussen lokale en regionale erfgoedpartijen. Samen zorgen ze voor de inhoud van Zicht op Maastricht.
